Happy Birthday to ME (from me!)

As a gift to MYSELF from MYSELF for my 28th birthday (yikes, did I say 28th?!? - that's almost 30!), I purchased 2 tickets to see Jewel in concert, solo acoustic, in Birmingham at UAB. I am soooooo excited! This will be my 4th (yes, 4th) time to see her in concert.....and solo acoustic is THE MOST AWESOME way to see Jewel perform. Love her! Phillip doesn't act too excited now, but I'm sure he will enjoy her performance one we get there. :) She puts on a really good concert, telling stories about some of the songs before she performs them. She's really funny!

The concert is October 30th, next Friday, at 8:00, which means we are going to have to both try to get off work a little early to boogie on down the road, get checked in at our hotel, and then find the place where the concert is. Phil might also get to visit with his sister, as she is attending UAB... if she hasn't gone home for the weekend that is.
